Pottery sits close to my heart. yes, they are extremely beautiful, but there is a lot more to it. As a child I listened to a song that sings about us being shaped and moulded in His hands. And yes, I do still sing it if you wanted to know. But if you really think about it, it is really incredible.

We are made in His image. Perfect, with no fault or defect. The Creator of the universe made me and you. When we are born the image is not complete, for we have not developed our own opinion and personality. If you thought that it is all you, I would like to disagree. For as a child of God our passion in life should be to become Him, right? So when you make a decision, answer a question or even watch a television show you should ask yourself, ” Is this what God would do?” And is it God’s personality, oh yes God does have a personality.

Do you see the resemblance? God is shaping and molding you, because you are moving into His image. You are the clay and He is the Potter. The beauty in this is that moving into His image and allowing Him to move you will make you a pot that can resist the fire. In life times get tough, our circumstances are not appealing, but with God as your guide you can withstand the fires in life and come out as a remarkable person/pot.

It is so worth it and the reward is life in abundance. Allow God to move you. Be open for change and excitement. You are the clay and He is the Potter.

*Glory to His name.
